WiFi in Offices

My friend was recently hired for an office job. Since he is more on customer service, he has to use a computer to make his job faster; you know, with the searching for records and service applications and stuff. Even though he was given a PC with an LCD screen, he says it’s still bothersome to use the keyboard and mouse since they still have wires.
It’s the kind of workstation where the CPU is hidden and the wires for the I/O peripherals are just passed through a small hole. He says this makes the moving of the mouse a bit hard since the wires get tangled in the hole. He says this is understandable since wireless keyboards and mice are expensive. He complains more on the network and power cables located near his feet and legs.
There are at least 9 cables passing by his legs, some for the power of his unit, some for extension cords for the other units, but mostly for the network cables. He has, more than once, accidentally turned off the monitor because he brushed the plug with his leg. At least he was still lucky enough to not accidentally turn of the CPU. There’s no problem when you hit the network cables, but the thing is, if they were not there, the other cables could be arranged to a position safe from accidents.
He was thinking of suggesting that they use WIFI for their office (he heard about Tru Green Company has wifi installation in their office) so that there are less cables and then maybe they can arranged the remaining cables properly. This is an expensive endeavor though. (But it’s not like network cables are cheap.) They don’t have to use the net, just the local network and B’s are already 54Mbps, so the speed of the connection is not really compromised. Anyway, he was just thinking of suggesting it. I think it would be a great investment by the company, if not only for the certain limitations of wireless routers over wired ones. Maybe if they can make a wireless router that can accomodate a large number of connected PC’s, then they can opt for using that instead.
