A day to remember

My friend and I was going to his place last week. I had a really bad headache so I told him that if he could stop by a pharmacy so I could buy some medicine. After we bought some medicine, we were on our way back to the car when an old lady came hobbling after us, whispering, “Can you spare me some change?” She tried her best to smile, but still she looked really sad. We gave her the change we had, though it weas not that much and she thanked us.

The situation of these old people makes me mad and sad and ashamed at the same time. Why were they spending their time outside, near a road, even if it’s raining to ask for change? What were the children of these people doing? Why weren’t they taking care of them? Old people should be cared for. Most of them have children and these children should take care of them in anyway they can. They can choose to place them in care homes. These homes are built for the caring of our older citizens. If you do not want to have older people in your household because of reasons such as senility, or taking care of them and small children is too much to handle, then care homes is your choice.
