Of Brooms and Vacuum Cleaners

I’m not very keen in cleaning, that is cleaning a whole house. Don’t get me wrong. I clean what I can, but this is usually limited to my workspace and comfort zones (i.e desk and bed). Anyway, this holiday season forced me to the chore as our housekeeper had to go home to her family.
When my family went to do thier business elsewhere, I was left in charge of the house. I started it off watching T.V. but as we all know, there is only so much that one can see on T.V. I started arranging my stuff; folded my clothes, made my bed, throw unnecessary stuffs away. After all that, I’d made quite a mess with the floor: dust, small pieces of paper, staple wires, and bits of debris (pebbles), etc…. I was going for the broom when I spotted our old. rusty, falling apart, vacuum cleaner. I tried to handle it, but that was tough. It had to be held at such a position to keep it running. I gave up on it and used the broom instead. Had trouble with the bits and pieces that wouldn’t be swept with the broom and a harder time with collecting the dust with the dust pan.
When I was done, I surfed the net for vacuum cleaners. One really good site I run across to was Dyson. They have many different kinds of vacuums, such as upright vaccums, cylinders and handhelds. I am particularly intrested in thier handhelds. Their uprights and cylinder suction powers range from about 200 to 280 airwatts. The thing that really interested me the most is the Dyson genuine accessories that you can buy for all thier vacuum cleaners. Some of these accessories are spot cleaners, different kinds of brushes, extended hoses, extra batteries for handhelds, filters, and many more. *sigh*
The site is also easy to navigate. The accessories and other types of stuff they sell are organized well. The layout and navigation drives the users to explore more within their site. This is indeed a good way to make navigation easier for people like me who’s looking for good sets of vacuum cleaners.
If only I saw this before Christmas, I could have included it in my wishlist. Oh well, maybe next Christmas.
