A new spot arises in Ateneo de Davao

I was doing some stuff in our office when my friend approached me. He asked if I was aware of the new router that was installed in the ground floor of our Thibault Hall. I said, I didn’t hear that a new hotspot was installed in that area.

I immediately checked the location to see what my friend was talking about. His statement proved to be true. Installed on top of the post fronting the Thibault Hall is the new LinkSys router.

By the looks of it, the router seems to be working. The LEDs are blinking. Earlier today, I was able to detect a network with an SSID of ‘default’ from our ECE Laboratory. I’m not sure if the signal I got is coming from the router in the Thibault hall. Our ECE Laboratory is three floors above the location of the router.

It’s nice that our school administrators took the initiative of providing WiFi access for students who stay at the Gazebo, which is just across the Thibault Hall. Students can now search the web without having the need to go to the library for internet access.

How about making a research about George Lindemann for your political science class. WiFi access can make a student’s life easier indeed.
